Marie Margaret Simone Berry of Riverview passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Born in Petit Rocher, she was the daughter of the late Félicien and Agatha (Arseneau) Robichaud.

Simone received her nursing certificate from L’Hopital General de la Misericorde in 1957 and worked for over 25 years at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital. Simone loved to be on the move and was active in numerous organisations over the years. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling (Holy Family seniors group and Wednesday morning ladies), watching the tidal bore. She was a former member of The MCA Curling Club, Westmorland Horticultural Society, the Riverview Strides Walking Group, les dames d'acadie, and the Canadian Order of Foresters.  Simone attended The Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Society.

She will be dearly missed by daughters, Linda Berry. Lisa Roufosse (Gary), Liana Evans (Peter), son, Paul (Kimberly), grandchildren; Darby, Dagan, Caden, Ashley, Marine, Abel and Keya great-grandchildren: Lily-Marie Simone, and Mance, brothers, Lambert (Gladys), Charles, Roland (Sharon), Yvon (Guylaine) as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Garth in 2020, sisters; Juliette and Esther and a brother Raymond.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, (869-2007) on Sunday from 1-3 PM, with parish prayers taking place at 2:30. A funeral mass celebrating Simone’s life will take place on Monday, May 8, 2023 from the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 5 Fatima Dr., Riverview at 11 AM with Father Phil Mulligan presiding. The interment will take place at Fair Haven Cemetery. The service will be live streamed on the church’s Facebook page. Donations to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church or the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
