It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clara Bishop of Riverview, who passed away at The Moncton Hospital after a short illness, on May 4, 2023, with her family by her side. Born in River Hebert, NS., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ella (Rector) Dow.

She was a homemaker to her family, and in her working career she was a Caregiver and a Cook at the Air Traffic Control Centre, where she worked for many years, spoiling the staff with her delicious home-cooked meals.

She will be remembered and deeply missed by her daughter Beryl Hayman, sons: Russell (Raymonde "Claudette"), Charles (Tammy), sister Juanita Hebert, grandchildren Kyle, Krista, Ralph, great-grandchildren Adam, Hilary and Samantha and "adopted son" Oral.  As well as her many nieces and nephews.

Aside from her parents, Clara was predeceased by her husband Russell C. Bishop, brothers: Elroy, Wally and her son-in-law Doug Hayman and her special little dog, Ben.

A service in remembrance of Clara will take place on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. (869-2007) at 2:00pm. Interment will take place in Wilmot Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital.
