Alice (Trites) Longmuir, formerly of Wakefield, MA and Riverview, NB was called to her Lord and Savior on May 3, 2023.Born in Petitcodiac NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Beulah Trites.

She was predeceased by her husband Charlie, brother Albert Trites and sister Freda Taylor.  She will be dearly missed by her niece Ellen Foster and nephews, Gary Taylor, Daryl Trites, Donald Taylor and Douglas Taylor.

Alice moved to Riverview in 1950 where she started the first beauty salon in the village.  Alice was a talented organist and played at the Riverview Baptist Church as well as for a male choir for many years.  She was a fabulous sewer and knitter, making many clothes and mittens for her family members.

Alice was married in 1975 to Charles Longmuir at the age of 49 and moved to Wakefield, MA and again used her musical talents in the church.

After the passing of her husband in 2015, she returned to Riverview where she was well cared for at the Shannex Seniors Complex until her passing.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Monarch Hall for their love and care of Alice in her final days.

A private family service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007). The interment will follow in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
