David Smith formerly of Riverview passed away on August 29, 2023 at the K E Spencer Memorial Home.  Born in Charlottetown, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Dorothy Smith. He retired from CNR after a long career as an automotive mechanic. David was a talented handy man who could build or fix anything and lovingly nicknamed MacGyver. He enjoyed golfing, birdwatching, spending time in nature, woodworking projects and stained glass. His most cherished moments are the ones that he was able to spend with his grandchildren, who he was so very proud of.

He will be dearly missed by his former wife Cathie Smith; daughters Mary Bulmer (Bruce Curwin), Amanda (Matt) Cormier; sons Ross (Crystal) Smith, Mike Smith; sister Anne Lenentine, and grandchildren Marshall, Maria and Anthony, Julia and Hope, Kaitlin and Chris and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at K E Spencer Memorial Home for the love and care provided over the last 5 years.

A celebration of life will be held for immediate family in PEI at a later date.
