Edward Frederic Bowes, of Riverview, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on September 12, 2023.

Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Carleton and Daisy (Kay) Bowes.

Ed will be remembered and missed by his brother David (Lynne) Bowes, nephew Roger (Robin and daughter Sasha) and niece Christine (Scott).

Ed was a devoted member of St. John The Baptist Anglican Church and had a lifetime interest in railroads.  He was a long time volunteer at the New Brunswick Railway Museum and the Salem and Hillsborough Railroad.  Many will remember Ed as the train’s conductor.

A visitation will take place on September 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview followed by a service to celebrate Ed’s life at 11 AM, Rev. Julian Pillay officiating, with a reception to follow.  Interment will take place at a later date in Camp Hill Cemetery, Halifax.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Ed’s memory to St. John The Baptist Anglican Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
