We are saddened to announce the passing of "Big Al" Beaumont on October 28, 2023 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Lower Coverdale, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mae (Cormier) Beaumont.

Al retired from a 27-year career as Distribution Manager for Co-Op Atlantic. His real passion lay in nature and anything that could get him outside or working with his hands. He was happy to do yard work like mowing and gardening, but he loved birds and birdwatching. He also was very skilled at woodworking, which was demonstrated in building furniture and two of the houses in which he and his family lived. In addition, he restored two Street Rods and was an avid photographer. Al was very friendly and always stopped to say "hi" and chat with his many friends and acquaintances. Those who knew him felt comfortable asking for his help with any subject that fell under his broad skillset, and he was always happy to be of service.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife Paula (née Rawding), daughters Tina and Sherry (Bryan), sisters Nancy (Bob), Sharon (Keith), Brenda (Bill), and Peterie, brothers Jerome (Freda), Nelson (Dorothy), Gary, Brennan (Cindi), Gregory (Francine), Paul (Valerie), and Peter (Cathie), close family friend Roger Surette, grandchildren Aaron and Ryan (Heidi), great-grandchildren Demetry and Anthony, and numerous nieces and nephews.

His family would like to extend a warm and sincere thank you to the staff of the coronary and palliative care units at The Moncton Hospital for their excellent care of both Al and Paula through this difficult time.

Al’s family welcomes you to join them for a service celebrating his life at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview (869-2007) on Thursday, November 2nd at 12pm with Pastor David Way presiding and a reception to follow. For those unable to attend, the service will be live-streamed and recorded. Donations in Al’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Arthritis Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
