Grant’s family sadly announces that he passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on November 8, 2023, after a battle with ALS. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Mae (nee Guier) and Douglas Stoddard.

His career was varied. He worked for CN Rail, warehouse shipping and receiving, and did some bookkeeping for small businesses. He loved watching baseball (especially the Blue Jays!). Grant was also passionate about music and enjoyed writing his own poems and song lyrics.

He is loved and will be missed by his siblings Carla Cahill (Stephen), Angela Mullin (Dave), and Terry (Lisa), and his nieces and nephews Andrew, Erin, and Kelcie, Lana, Erika, Emily, and Monica. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his nephew Dana.

Grant and his family would like to express their appreciation to The Moncton Hospital’s doctors, nurses and staff for their excellent care and professionalism.

Like one of Grant’s favourite songs says, he is now "in the arms of the angel".

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview (869-2007). Honouring his wishes, a private family burial will take place at Fair Haven Cemetery. Donations made in his memory to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
