Lowell Brine of Riverview, passed away on December 31, 2023 at the Hospice Albert House.  He was the son of the Late Desmas and Eileen (Mahoney) Brine.  He was retired from Canada Post after 30 years.  He enjoyed spending time in nature hunting.  He was involved with harness racing as an owner, trainer and driver.  He was a member of the United States Trotting Association.

Lowell was a master story teller. He could embellish any real or fictional story leaving you laughing or scratching your head about the validity of the tale.

After his retirement, he loved his time with his Tim Hortons coffee buddies at 5am every morning.

His family was his main love. Taking the children to all their various activities was never a burden but a joy to see them succeed whether it was baseball or speed skating. But one of his favorite activities was going for long drives with Roberta, packing a lunch and heading down roads in the NB countryside.

He will be dearly missed by his wife Roberta, daughter Maria Brine, son Dana Bustard, brother Edward (Betty Jo), nephews: Tim, Terry, Marc, Jamie, nieces: Jennifer, Lisa, Kim, Eileen and his several grand-nieces and nephews.  Aside from his parents, Lowell was predeceased by a brother Walter, sister Mary Chase and niece Darlene.

The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road (869-2007) on Thursday January 4, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.  A funeral service to celebrate Lowell’s life will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary church on January 5, 2024 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice SENB, www.betweenthehearts.ca/donation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
