It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Len, aged 79 on the 9th of February 2024 after a 10 year battle with Alzheimer's.

In his early 20's Len obtained his red seal plumbing/pipefitters certification.  He as indentured with Steane mechanical out of Saint John and went on to his first job with Key Mechanical.

Through the many years he has worked with Reg Plumbing, Moncton Plumbing and Price Plumbing. as well as travelling to Terrace Bay Ontario and Kitamat BC working cites for months at a time.  He had a fulfilling  career.

Len retired at the age of 65 and became a professional putterer; he could never sit long enough to watch a movie with his wife.

He loved bowling, hunting and later in life fishing with his sidekick Tommy.

He could often be found in the yard tending to the flowers.

Len was very much a homebody but was especially fond of his trips to Lawrence Station NB to spend time with this cousin Walter.  Walter had a God given talent for many instruments, especially guitar and fiddle and this always brought so much excitement for Len.  Music, a little spirits and good people - a man couldn't go wrong!

Len is survived by Barbara, his wife of 57 years, daughter Virginia, Son Len and his grandsons Eric and Clark.  The grandchildren brought a whole new joy to his life; it was the first time his family has seen him on a trampoline!  Grampy will forever be in their hearts.

Predeceased by his parents Harold and Ethel (Steeves) Fairweather.

Resting at Cobb’s Funeral Home, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869-2007), the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A service will be held on Monday February 19, 2024 at 1:00pm at Cobb’s Funeral Home. Donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
