Vicki Gard of Riverview passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at the Grass Nursing Home in Riverview. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late William A. I and Gladys (Whitenect) Gard.

She was a retired school teacher who taught for over 40 years in Saint John, Truro, Sydney and Riverview. Vicki was an amazing teacher who had passion for her students and would often take the time for those that needed a little more care. She was well known for her themed classroom décor (made by Vicki). Following her retirement she volunteered with the ELF’s (reading program) and the Children’s Wish Foundation.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Christi Kerwin (Trevor Majensky), son, Gard Kerwin (Ginette), grandchildren; Brianna, Zacharie and Jaden, step daughters; Patti and Angie Scribner. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her former spouses; Bill Kerwin and Jim Scribner.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Thursday from 6 – 8 PM. A service celebrating her life will take place at the funeral home on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 1 PM with Rev. Steve Berube presiding. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to discretion of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
