With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved daughter Rachel Susan Travis.

Rachel was a beautiful person, an incredibly talented writer and artist.

She had a huge heart, lovingly touching the people she cherished. Never judging, left people to their own choices and decisions, accepting them as is. She was trustworthy and was often entrusted by others.

She had a beautiful smile and an incredibly witty sense of humour. She was wise beyond her years, always courageous, endlessly seeking information and educating herself. She was never afraid to pursue a new talent and would challenge herself to achieve her goal. She often said, "There are no gifts, a talent is something you work at to develop". She worked tirelessly.

Rachel loved her pets and everyone else’s too. She loved to read, especially the classics, be in nature and to cook.

Left to grieve are her parents Kim and Paul Travis, brother Ben Travis, sister Jade Fudge (Allen), nephew Onyx Fudge, niece Wynter Fudge, maternal grandfather Harold Morgan (Nicole Lefort), paternal grandparents Joan and Gerry Travis, uncles Todd Morgan and Greg Travis (Michelle Doucet), aunt Jane Messervier (Guy) and her boyfriend Kurt Laengner.

Predeceased by her maternal grandmother Susan Morgan.

In lieu of flowers, in memory of Rachel’s passion of reading, the family invites you to donate to: Born to Read, a New Brunswick early childhood literacy program www.borntoreadnb.com or United for Literacy, a Canadian literacy organization for children and adults www.unitedforliteracy.com

There will be no visitation, a private service will be held at Cobb’s Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869-2007).
