Sylvia Irene (McEwen) Keith of St. Thomas-de-Kent, formerly
of Riverview, N.B., passed away on Thursday April 4, 2024 at
the Hospice Albert House. Sylvia was raised in Gunningsville, N.B. She
was the daughter of the late Dr. Alexander and Violet (Kennedy)
McEwen. Sylvia leaves behind her sisters Sheila (Gary) Steeves of
Calgary, Alberta, and Sharon (late Ned) Murray of Scoudouc, N.B. She
has also left her son, Richard, daughters, Kelly (Ricky) Cormier,
Abbey and granddaughters, Alexandra (Riley) Wall and Olivia Cormier,
daughter in law Kim Keith, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Sylvia is predeceased by her husband Harold, her son Derrick, and her
brother-in-law David Keith.
Sylvia began her career as a nurse at the Moncton City
Hospital then, along with her husband, owned and operated several
businesses including Hub City Oxygen Ltd. And Hub City Auto Paints
& Supplies Ltd. She and her family enjoyed spending time at
the shore entertaining family, friends and staff.
The family will be receiving visitors at Cobb’s
Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview
(869-2007) on Sunday April 7, 2024, from 1- 4pm. Donations to SENB
Hospice Albert House would be appreciated by the family. The family
would like to thank the compassionate staff at Albert House for their
support in her final days.
