Georgie Dole of Riverview passed away Thursday April 4, 2024 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Oxford, NS, she was the daughter of the late Murray and Lahlia Thompson.

She was employed with the T Eaton Company for over 25 years and was a member of Century Club, Past Worthy Matron of Fidelity Chapter # 36 Order of the Eastern Star, Past Most Excellent Chief of Saxby Temple # 35, Pythian Sisters, Past Noble Grand of Pearl Rebekah Lodge # 9. The lodges that she belonged to over the years were like an extended family to Georgie. She was an active member of St. John The Baptist Anglican Church and a member of the ACW.

 She will be sadly missed by her numerous nieces and nephews, particularly Rhonda (Harlan) who gave great care to her over the past few years. Aside from her parents she was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) brothers; Claude, Gerald, Lorimer, sisters; Lola Nix, Dorothy Terris, Reta Hyslop and Florine Reid.

The Fidelity Chapter OES will hold an Eastern Star service at St. John The Baptist Anglican Church, Woolridge Ave., Riverview on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 11 AM. immediately following  the funeral service celebrating her life will take place from the church. The interment will take place at Fair Haven Cemetery. Donations to The NB Heart and Stroke Foundation of St. John The Baptist Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family. The arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007).
