Stella Marie Lipton, 77, of Riverview NB, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on April 14, 2024. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Patrice and Yvonne LeBlanc.
Left to grieve is her loving husband of 53 years, Cy Lipton. She will also be deeply missed by her son Mark Lipton (Linda) of Riverview, her daughter Tracy Lipton-McCluskey and her 3 grandchildren, Eva McCluskey, Jack McCluskey and Charlie McCluskey all from Moncton. She is survived by her brothers Leonard (Simone), Wilfred (Gloria) and her sisters Therese, Marianne, Yvonne, Patricia (Alfred) and Lorraine.
Besides her parents, Stella was predeceased by her brothers Yvon, Robert, Norman and Emery as well as her sisters Jeanne and Louise.
Growing up in a large Acadian family with 13 siblings presented its challenges, but it also surrounded her with much love and an appreciation for how important family bonds could be.
Stella was a devoted wife, a wonderful mom, and a loving Nana. Her family was her everything. She was an amazing cook and took great pride in her home. Her strength and resilience were truly admirable.
The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at the Moncton Hospital, especially in trauma, surgical intensive care, 4600 and in Palliative Care. We are so grateful for your wonderful care of Stella. We’d also like to sincerely thank all of our extended family and friends for your messages, calls and prayers. A special thank you to Father Phil Mulligan for his support and prayers.
Donations in her memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
Visitation and a short ceremony will take place at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview (506-869-2007) on Thursday, April 18th, 2024 from 5 - 8 pm followed by Parish Prayers and sharing of memories at 7:30 pm The family will have a private interment at a later date.
