It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darlene Ann (Hicks) Richardson 63, of Riverview NB. She passed away peacefully on Monday April 15, 2024 at Moncton City Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Moncton NB, she was the daughter of the late Irma (Horseman) and Lloyd Hicks.

Darlene will be dearly missed by her husband David Richardson, her two boys Matthew (Andresa) Riverview NB, Nathan (Samantha) Moncton NB and her stepson Lee (Tania) Victoria BC.The light of Darlene’s life was her grandchildren Kris, Alex, Nadia, Xavier, Deacon, Katarina, Connor and Ella-Rae. She will also be missed by her siblings Gail Hicks, Sheilla (Brian) Colpitts, Kevin (Amy) Hicks, Patrick (Lise) Hicks, Calvin (Michael Ann) Hicks and several nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Robin Hicks and her granddaughter Lyla Ann.

Darlene was a beautiful soul who lived her entire life for those she loved, especially her children and grandchildren. She was incredibly kind, generous, loving but most importantly more selfless than she ever needed to be. To know Darlene is to endlessly love her. Her grandchildren will forever remember her as their favorite person, their safe space, and their personal cheerleader. If they had a sport or activity she was always the first one there cheering them on and giving all the pep talks needed. She will forever hold a special place in everyone's hearts.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Friday from 6-8 PM. A service celebrating her life will take place from the funeral home on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Steve Berube presiding.
