Cheryl Dawn (Sherry)
Ryder
1953 – 2024
Sherry Ryder was called home to be with her Lord and Savior
on Monday, April 15, 2024. Born in Truro, NS, she was the daughter of
the late Doanld and Ruth (Webb) Reid.
Sherry had the biggest heart; warmest smile and she
was the centre of her family’s world. There is a
giant hole left in our hearts, but we know she has gone to a better
place with no more pain. She spent her life preparing for this journey
and she's now at peace with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Eternal
life and joy are hers forever. She was a home care worker
most of her working career and was a librarian for a period of time.
The job that she took most pride in was being a stay-at-home mom and
wife. Greeting her children every day after school and
baking them the most delicious treats that she often had to hide but
were usually found by her detective children. Her beautiful light
lives on in the hearts of those that are left behind.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Dean,
daughter; Allisha Steeves (Josh), sons; Adam (Mariah Goguen), Shane
and Jordan, sister, Bev Reid, brothers; Peter (Lottie) and Tim
(Gloria), grandchildren: Alex, Austin, Brooke, Trinity, Myles, Maxim,
Deklan and Lilly, great grandchild, Dallas, as well as several nieces
and nephews.
The family extends a welcome for you to join them at New Hope
Community Church, 47529 Homestead Rd on Thursday, April 18, 2024 -
with a time of prayer and sharing of memories to take place from
2:00-2:20 PM. Those that wish to give condolences, the
family will receive them from 2:20-4:00 PM.
