On May 5th, 2024, Norman passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Along with his loving wife Deirdre (nee Foley) of Riverview, NB, he leaves to mourn his passing: his three children Jennifer (Kraig) Worrall of Oromocto, NB, Aidan (Jennifer) Proulx of Riverview, NB and Andrea (Paul) Best of Lower Coverdale, NB; his five wonderful and amazing grandchildren, Declan, Alice, and Erik Worrall, Gavin and Calum Proulx; five grand therapy fur babies; many nieces and nephews throughout Europe and Canada; one brother Rene Proulx (Wpg, MB), and one Sister Celine (Les) Titchkosky Morden, MB. He also leaves to mourn his many friends from his childhood in St. Pierre, MB whom he loved and respected dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents Angele & Auguste Proulx, one brother Leon Proulx, and two sisters Marie and Jeannine Proulx.

Norman was born, raised, and educated in St. Pierre, Manitoba. He moved to Winnipeg post high school graduation to continue his education. He was transferred to Moncton, NB in 1994, through the company he worked for (Mabe) because of his Technical and Management skills. Through work, he made many new friends on the East Coast. He was well known throughout the Atlantic Provinces for his technical knowledge.

Some of his best memories were spending time with family and friends, playing cards/games, and helping family and friends with renovation projects. He was gifted in so many ways and truly a positive human being. He tried to see the light in every situation even when others could not.

Norman’s warmth, wisdom, and the joy he brought to life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He had a life well-lived, and a legacy that will continue to inspire.

Celebration on life will be held at Cobbs funeral Home, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview, NB (869-2007), on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm followed by the reception at 3:00pm. Burial will take place at a later date for family members only.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tree of Hope CHU Dumont Foundation or Moncton Community Residences Incorporated

"As I sit in Heaven

As I sit in Heaven and watch you every day. I try and let you know with signs. I never went away.

I hear you when you’re laughing, and I watch you as you sleep.

I even place my arms around you, to calm you as you weep.

I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home.

So I try and send you signs so you know you’re not alone.

Don’t feel guilty that you have life. Life that was denied to me.

Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see!

So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free.

Then I’ll know with each breath you take you’ll be taking one for me."
