It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Erin Melissa Nicole Collins (Sharpe) on March 12, 2024, age of 40 years, at her residence in Ottawa, ON.

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 25th, 1983, Erin grew up in the Greater Moncton Area & Niagara Rd – Albert County NB. She attended Beaverbrook/Birchmount/Harrison Trimble and Oulton Business College.

Having four children, Glen, Faith, Allison & TJ, Erin became a proud grandmother of Athnea, Zander & Ashton; but not before she tried her hand at carpentry in Ontario, where she built commercial sets alongside of her uncle Ed Esscott for a film company.

No stranger to "Tools", introduced to her a young age by her then "step father" Lloyd Smith & being mechanically inclined, Erin "fixed" a car or two, (actually) many along the way in her life time. Even if she did paint her first car with Blue latex house paint.

Always full of humour and wit at the ready, it was like watching an episode of Mrs. Brown’s Boys growing up with her 2 equally comical brothers; Hip Hop artists Dennis aka "Tripp" Collins and GJ Collins, also well known in the music scene.

A prankster, a risk taker, sneaking out the bedroom window to go swimming at midnight at Kawanis & the other thousand excursions she thought her mother didn’t know till she’d show up in the middle of "no where" with a camcorder in hand. Or developed photo’s she’d take from her mom’s camera that she would take without permission 😊

Erin loved singing, drawing and her "Monté Carlo" AKA her 5th child – she could sketch a sketch, hop a plane, train, bike, even grab a U-Haul… or simply use her thumb when the mood struck, not much wonder she went into "Criminology" at Oulton’s.

Predeceased by her younger brother Lewin Dennis "Tripp" Collins, April 27, 2022. It is safe to say, Erin’s heart broke at his passing, she never got over it and missed him deeply every day.

Also predeceased by half sister Victoria Sharpe, July 30th, 2018 in Quebec.

She leaves to mourn those who loves her, including her mother, singer songwriter Clara Collins (Sharpe), her younger brother GJ, her beloved daughter Faith and her life long partner/boyfriend Brandon Perkons.

Ever remembered and sadly missed by Trish, Elizabeth, Kristen, Steven, and Roxanne to name a few.

While there will be no viewing, there will be a service to celebrate Erin’s life at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview, NB (506-869-2007) on May 31st, 2024 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm with a celebration of life service at 8:00pm and a laying to rest on June 1st, 2024 in Boundary Creek NB Cemetery at 10:30am. Flowers are welcome or a donations to a charity of the donor’s choice.
