Heaven has gained another angel. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Debra Lynn Wilson, May 10, 2024.

To all who were touched by Debbie’s kindness and pure love, let us reassure you that she passed peacefully and with such grace.

Debbie fought a long and hard battle, and all the time did it with positivity and hope. She was an inspiration to us all and taught us to be kind and positive.

Her greatest accomplishments and loves were her marriage, her children and her grand babies.  She was a lover of any animal that met her. Debbie will be remembered for her knowledge and patience with all thing’s "horse" related.  Her dedication to the Cavalier Riding Club over the years will always remain in our memories.  As a child she was involved in 4-H (Bits N Spurs).  She dedicated 35+ years to teaching countless kids how to ride and care for horses.  She first started teaching at Horizon Farms and later continued with Ashton Ridge.  Her teaching was not limited to just those farms but to anyone that needed her.

Debbie was a strong advocate for the local Humanity Project, always promoting their good work.  Debbie was always the first to offer a helping hand to anyone in need.  She loved to bake and her carrot cakes have contributed to many women and men saying "why are my pants so tight?"

Never a harsh word about anyone or anything was our Debbie.

She is predeceased by her father, Ralph Metzler.

Debbie will sadly be missed by her husband of 36 years, Merle Wilson. Daughters Shelby (Louis), Sydney and son Cole, and her extra special grandbabies Avrie, Amberlee, Everlee and Maxton. Her siblings- Sandy & Linda (Fredericton), Susan & Larry (Berwick, NS), Jim & Vicky, Bryce & Erin (Moncton)  and her beautiful mom, Janet Metzler of Riverview.

She will also be missed by the entire Wilson Family and too many friends to mention.

"Don’t cry because its over, smile because it happened."

A celebration of Debra’s life will take place at a later date. Donations can be made to The Humanity Project or the Hillsborough Playground would be appreciated.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the Riverview Lions Club on Daturday, May 25, 2024 for a time to share and celebate Debra's ife.

The arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (506-869-2007). Online condolences may be expressed at
