Elizabeth Aerolynn Greene, 83, of Riverview, New Brunswick,
passed away Saturday evening August 10th after a prolonged battle with
cancer.
She was born to the late John and Ruth Stevenson, September
16, 1940 and raised in Brookfield, Nova Scotia. Aerolynn
graduated from Colchester High School in 1958 and received a Bachelor
of Science and Bachelor of Education from Mount Allison University in
1964.
She was mother of two sons, Jason (Sylvie) and Anthony, both
surviving her. She is predeceased by her sister, Andrea
(Pat) and survived by two brothers, Leroy (Joan) and David
(Susan). She is also survived by her two cherished
grand-children, Cedric and Cassandra, other family members, and her
many friends.
Aerolynn is known and loved in the community for teaching
chemistry, then physics at Riverview High School.
Altogether, she was a teacher for 28 years prior to
retiring. She was an avid golfer and assumed
duties as treasurer at the Moncton Golf Club and helped many ladies
pick up the sport. She is also known throughout the
community for her many years of volunteer service, notably the
SPCA. Aerolynn was also an avid down-hill skier,
bird-watcher, gardening, and loved to travel, especially with one of
her best friends Jeannine.
A special thank-you is extended to Dr. Gray (Oncology
Department) and the other staff at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont
University Hospital for their exceptional service. The
family would also like to thank her special friends for all the help
they provided for Aerolynn along the way throughout her
battle.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held for Aerolynn on
Thursday, August 15th at 12:00pm at Cobb’s Funeral Home and
Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview
