It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of
Charles "Chuck" George Ashe on May 11, 2025, at the age of
86 in Riverview, NB.
Chuck was the beloved and faithful husband of Arlene Marie
Grant. He leaves behind a loving family: his two sons, Greg Ashe
(Erin) and Grant Ashe (Jackie). He was a proud grandfather to Cameron
Ashe (Courtney), Shannon Blake (Dan), Calum Ashe, and Megan Ashe. His
legacy continues through his great-grandchildren Asher, and Addelyne
Blake.
Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy (Hawkins) and
George Ashe, his stepfather, Phillip Kinney, and his sisters, Phyllis
Hale, and Jane MacDougall.
Chuck’s life was marked by his dedicated service to
NB Tel. He started at the young age of seventeen and enjoyed a 35-year
career with NB Tel where he held numerous positions throughout the
province until his retirement in 1991. To his friends and family,
Chuck was known as the "Telephone Man".
Chuck will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His
spirit, love, and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those
who knew him.
Chuck had a strong faith. He trusted in Jesus throughout his
life to guide him through both joyful times and difficult seasons. He
always held onto hope, shared his faith, and showed love by serving
his family, neighbors, community, and several church
congregations.
Chuck’s family would like to extend deep gratitude
to Dr. Heather Kelly, the dedicated team of doctors, and the staff at
Grass Home for their love, care and support.
