It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Stephen Cain, beloved husband of Carol (Steeves) of Riverview, on May 26, 2025. Lloyd was born in Pleasant Vale, NB to the late Stephen Cain and Hannah (Adair). He dedicated 33 years of his life to NB Tel before retiring and had also served as an RCMP officer in Newfoundland and Labrador. Lloyd was an active member of the Coverdale Lodge No. 52 F. & A.M., where he was a respected Mason, he was also a member of OES Fidelity Chapter #36.

Lloyd enjoyed camping and spending winters in Florida. In his earlier years, he was an avid golfer, loved downhill skiing, fishing, and hunting. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Carol, daughters Shelley McKenney (Bob), Sheri Quinlan (Troy), son Michael (Jennifer); sisters Millie Cain, Vallory Nowlan (Wayne), Lena Hotham, Shirley Cain, Cindy Cain, and Kim Cain; brothers Richard (Gisele), David, and Donald (Darlene); his grandchildren; Cindy, Alysha (Ryan), Thomas (Izzy), Erin, Serena, Moira, and Ella and two great grandchildren; Aiden and Emmett as well as several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Bella.

Aside from his parents Lloyd was predeceased by his sisters, Ellen and Susan, and brother Joseph.

The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road Riverview (506-869-2007) on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A Masonic Service will be held at 12:45PM at Cobb’s Funeral Home.  A family graveside service will be held at Pleasant Vale Cemetery at a later date.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Lakeview Manor for their care and compassion over the last fourteen months.
