Candida Estabrooks of
Riverview, N.B. passed away on October 4th,
2025 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Sackville,
N.B. and brought up in Port Elgin, Candy was the youngest daughter of
the late Beulah (Carter) and Arnold Estabrooks. She was also
pre-deceased by her sister Donna Murray, brother-in-law Steward Murray
and nephew David Murray. She is survived by her nieces
Kimberley Murray-Atkinson (Michael) of Shediac, N.B. and Gail (Ken)
Magee of Lower Sackville, N.S. She will be sadly missed by
her very good friends Mary Ann and Michael Jeffries and their
daughters Ellen, Elizabeth and Candy’s Goddaughter
Emily.
Candy worked for over
30 years for the Federal Government, first with the Correctional
Service in Dorchester and Edmonton, and for many years with Transport
Canada in Moncton, and in the years prior to her retirement, reporting
to Ottawa.
Candy was a spiritual
person who was generous with her time and resources to help those in
need. She was a grateful friend of Bill W. and Lois W. and
lived their principles to the best of her ability. She loved
to travel and had a keen interest in genealogy, holistic medicine and
healing touch.
Special thanks to the
wonderful staff at The Grass Home 774 who cared for Candy over the
last two and a half years.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Centre 330
Whitepine Road, Riverview. Visitation will be held on
Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. A simple
service will be held on October 9, 2025, at 11 am. Candy
will be buried in the Sackville Cemetery alongside her
parents.
In lieu of flowers,
Candy requested donations be made to a charity of the
donor’s choice or help someone you know who needs
it.
