It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Robert Wetmore, who passed away on November 18, 2025, at The Moncton
Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Sandra Wetmore of Riverview.
Bob was born in Saint John, NB, to the late Charles and Mary
Wetmore.
In 1980, Robert Wetmore, joined a young men's service
organization, the Kinsmen Club. Wisely, Kin Canada removed age
restrictions for club members and Bob continued to be a dedicated
member for 45 years, at 79.
The Club realized great potential in Bob and rewarded him by
bestowing the honour of being a Life Member of the organization. He
lived up to that honour, working hard for the Club and the community
until the end. Bob was an exemplary leader, a good friend, smart and
such an encourager.
Thousands, probably 10s of thousands, have enjoyed Bob's
meals as he was the driving force in the kitchen for many community
service club Dinner Draws.
Bob was very active at many levels of the organization and
most recently served as the Riverview Kinsmen Club
Treasurer.
He was instrumental in the building the Harold Page Memorial
Field, and on the boards of the Riverview Kinsmen Community
Centre and the Riverview Kinsmen Seniors Residence and worked
tirelessly for years at the Riverview Kinsmen Bingo, Mothers Day
Lobster, and the Harley and Cash Draws. Too many other projects to
mention.
Bob will be dearly missed by his loving wife Sandra, son;
Mark, his grandchildren; Lucas and Declan.
Aside from his parents, Bob was predeceased by a son Brent
Wetmore.
What would Riverview Kinsmen Club and the whole Town of
Riverview be without him? He will be missed
terribly.
A celebration of life in memory of Bob will be held on
Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Cobb’s
Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road Riverview
(506-869-2007).
