Gloria Marlene MacDougall passed away peacefully at the Grass
Nursing Home in Riverview on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Born in
Summerside, Prince Edward Island, she was the daughter of the late
Ralph and Etta (née Noy) Ford.
Marlene dedicated much of her working life to caring for
others as a Registered Nurse. She was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, and sister who was deeply loved for her kindness,
strength, positive spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. She
leaves behind a legacy rich with warmth, laughter, and cherished
memories.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tracey
(Gilles) Côté, and her son, Michael (Jennifer)
MacDougall; her sisters, Sandra (Joe) Campbell and Shirley (Stephen)
McKenna; and her brother, David (Thana) Ford. She was a devoted
grandmother to Kayla, Emily, Braeden, and Maegan, and will also be
fondly remembered by her in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and
friends.
In addition to her parents, Marlene was predeceased by her
beloved husband, Clifford; her brother, Ralph Ford Jr.; and her
nephew, Dale Ford.
Heartfelt thanks are extended to Dr. James Hudson,
Dr. Robert Forbes, the Extra-Mural Program, and the Grass Home in
Riverview for their wonderful care over the years. There have been so
many kind, compassionate care staff, nurses, doctors, and support
staff who were part of her journey.
A service in her memory will be held in the spring of 2026 in
Prince Edward Island. Arrangements are entrusted to
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Road, Riverview (506-869-2007). Donations in Marlene’s
memory may be made to MS Canada or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
