Gloria Marlene MacDougall passed away peacefully at the Grass Nursing Home in Riverview on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Born in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Etta (née Noy) Ford.

Marlene dedicated much of her working life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who was deeply loved for her kindness, strength, positive spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. She leaves behind a legacy rich with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tracey (Gilles) Côté, and her son, Michael (Jennifer) MacDougall; her sisters, Sandra (Joe) Campbell and Shirley (Stephen) McKenna; and her brother, David (Thana) Ford. She was a devoted grandmother to Kayla, Emily, Braeden, and Maegan, and will also be fondly remembered by her in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marlene was predeceased by her beloved husband, Clifford; her brother, Ralph Ford Jr.; and her nephew, Dale Ford.

Heartfelt thanks are extended to Dr. James Hudson, Dr. Robert Forbes, the Extra-Mural Program, and the Grass Home in Riverview for their wonderful care over the years. There have been so many kind, compassionate care staff, nurses, doctors, and support staff who were part of her journey.

A service in her memory will be held in the spring of 2026 in Prince Edward Island. Arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (506-869-2007). Donations in Marlene’s memory may be made to MS Canada or a charity of the donor’s choice.
