Leopold passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at
the George Boyack Care Centre at the age of 84 years.
Born in Saint Paul, New Brunswick to Clorice and Anise, he
was the second of eight children. Leopold spent his entire working
career in construction, specializing in carpentry and later working as
a concrete cribber in Calgary. He was known as a hardworking man who
took pride in his work through dedication and
perseverance.
In his younger years, Leopold enjoyed everything outdoors,
especially hunting and camping. He loved talking with people about all
kinds of subjects and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in
need. His kindness, strong work ethic, and friendly nature will be
fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Leopold is survived by his sons, Leo (Debbie) and Jerry; his
grandchildren, Monique, Matthieu, and Ella; and his great-grandson,
Grayson. He also leaves behind seven brothers and sisters, as well as
numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Monique, in
1991.
His family will receive friends and relatives for a
celebration of his life on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 11am - 1pm at
Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview
(506-869-2007). Burial will follow in St. Paul de Kent Cemetery.
