The family of Allan Bannister sadly announces his unexpected death on June 8, 2026, at his home. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Leonard and Meghan (Legge) Bannister.
Allan retired as a manufacturer’s floor rep for Armstrong Flooring. He was a member of the Elks Club. He will be remembered for his searing wit and how he always had a one-liner ready for any situation. A salesman at heart, he was a quick thinker and could keep up conversation with anyone.
He leaves behind his wife Gloria (Agnew), his sons Corey (Casey) and Scott (Melissa), his step-sons Neil, Patrick, Sean, Tim, and Ryan, his sister Sharon, grandchildren Hannah, MacKenzie, Alexandria, Colton, Lainey, Gavin, Annie, Andrea, Kevin, Trenton, Sunny Rae, and MacKenzie, and numerous nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Gary, Bobby, and Gerald.
His family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview (506-869-2007) on Friday, June 12th from 1-4pm. Burial will take place in Wesleyan Union Cemetery at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
