Jean Ida Cobb of Moncton, formerly of Upham and Riverview,
passed away at home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Born in Musquodoboit
Harbour, NS, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Myrtle
(Conrod) Murphy.
Jean had retired from Armour Transportation System following
a lengthy career. Once she met her husband Gordie Cobb, they hit it
off immediately as they had so much in common and Jean immediately
embraced the many adventures with her husband. Following their
retirement, many winters were spent with their motor home in Zepher
Hills, Florida, where they met many new lifelong friends. In her
earlier years, Jean and Gordie spent time travelling and camping with
their Honda Goldwing, Jean and Laddie in the sidecar. They were active
members of The Moncton Motorcycle Touring Club. Many memories were
made along the way at different motorcycle rallies, blue grass
festivals, and the trip the made to Expo 86 on their
motorcycle.
Jean and Gordie were always active wherever they lived,
always willing to roll up their sleeves and get
involved.
She will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of her
loving husband Gordon, stepson Kurt Cobb (Karen), grandsons Ryan and
Alex, her adored great grandson Tate, sister Bertha (Lloyd) and
brother Ivan (Eileen), as well as several nieces and nephews and
numerous friends.
Respecting her wishes, cremation will take place at Cobb's
Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview
(869-2007). Due to current family heath issues, the time to share and
celebrate her life will take place at a later date from the funeral
home. Donations in her memory made to Friends of The Moncton Hospital
or PAW (formerly SPCA) would be appreciated by her family. Online
sympathies and condolences can be expressed at
