Ann Connolly of
Riverview, NB, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026 at The Moncton
City Hospital.
She was predeceased by
her husband Thomas Edward Connolly, as well as four sisters and her
twin brother.
She is survived by her
children Margaret Lauridsen (Steve), Mary Logan (Richard), Cathy
Bourque (Art), and Tom. Six grandchildren: Sarah, Bryan, Daniel,
Christina, Jocelyn, and Kaitlin. Four great grandchildren: Andrew,
Colin, Lachlan, and Hugh.
Ann came to Moncton
from Toronto after joining the Navy in 1951 as a WREN. She was
stationed at Coverdale Naval Base where she was a radio operator. She
was active in Girl Guides, joining as a girl and then a leader at
every level of Guiding. She was also a National Trainer, later
becoming a member of the Trefoil Guild. She especially loved Camp
Whisong and the time spent there.
A Veteran’s
Service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 1:00pm followed by
a funeral service in memory of Ann, with refreshments to follow, at
Cobbs Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview
(506-869-2007).
