It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Harvey, who passed away on July 14, 2026, at Monarch Hall, Shannex. He was the beloved husband to Sonja Harvey (Campbell) of 54 years and father to lan of Riverview and Graeme of Fredericton.
Robert was predeceased by his loving mother Margarite, father Harold, and brother Brian, brother in law George. He leaves behind sister-in-law Louise, four cherished nieces Sharron, Heather, Natalie, and Julie, and one nephew Patrick, all of whom will deeply miss his love, humor, and presence.
Born and raised in Moncton, Robert grew up surrounded by many cousins, with whom he shared countless memories that he treasured throughout his life. He graduated from Moncton High School in 1962, where he was known for his enthusiasm and school spirit. He played football and even took to the stage, starring in the school's musical production.
Following graduation, Robert built a long and successful career with the Provincial Government, working as a data programmer. His dedication and strong work ethic earned the respect of his colleagues throughout his career until his retirement in 2001.
In his later years, Robert made his home at Monarch Hall, where his quick wit, playful sense of humor, and mischievous personality became well known. He delighted in teasing the nurses on a daily basis, bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. His humor and ability to brighten the day of others remained with him throughout his life.
Robert will be remembered for his sharp mind, his love of family, his sense of humor, and the many friendships he formed over the years. He leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories that will continue to bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road Riverview (506-869-2007) on Sunday July19, 2026 from 3-5PM with a funeral service on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 2PM.
