Rena A. Wheaton, 62, of Upper Coverdale, formerly of Elgin
and Lawson Ave., Riverview, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on
Monday, March 19, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Omah and Dora
(Melanson) Smith. Rena had a strong faith and a special place in her
heart for children as she opened up her home to so many over the past
25 years and became like a second mom. She was employed with Co-Aide,
enjoyed four-wheeling up at the camp in Elgin, spending time with her
sisters, playing with her grandchildren, and could always be counted
on for a good game of cards.
Rena will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Frank,
daughters, Tracy Boleyn (Terry) of Moncton, and Belinda Wheaton of
Riverview; sons, Frank Jr. of Upper Coverdale, and Tyler of Moncton;
sisters, Navada Steeves (Steve) of Moncton, June Dupuis (Gerry) of
Moncton; and Linda McCoubrey (Scott) of Fredericton; her cherished
friend, Leisa Fowler; her five precious grandchildren, Brian,
Nicholas, Jordan, Brody and Jacob; and several nieces and
nephews.
The family will be receiving friends and visitors at
Cobb’s Funeral Home, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview,
(869-2007) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will
be held from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on
Thursday, March 22, at 1pm with Pastor Stephen McLean officiating and
Pastor Cal Maskery assisting. The interment will follow at Alderwood
Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly
appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
