Bill Sears of Moncton passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University hospital on Thursday, March 12, 2015. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Leo and Eva Sears (née Bourque).

Most of his working career Bill worked as a project manager for Gerald J. Gaudet and Associates. Prior to his retirement he worked with Lockharts Beaver Lumber overseeing their various holdings. Bill had a passion and a natural talent for woodcarving. He enjoyed teaching his passion to others. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends at the cottage.

He will be forever in the hearts of his loving wife, Cécile (Breau); sons, Patrick (Ginette) and Harold, both of Moncton; grandchildren, Justin and Rachelle; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his daughter, Linda Anne Sears; sister, Theresa Macdonald; and brother, Ralph (Madelaine of Montreal).

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A service celebrating Bill’s life will take place on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 11am from Holy Family Catholic Church (11 Cavendish Rd., Moncton) with Father Charles Broderick presiding. The interment will take place in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the CHU Dumont Foundation or Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
