To help the public understand funeral costs, we have prepared an outline of the categories that make up a funeral account:

Professional services include basic charges which cover the general operational cost of all funeral homes. Other items included in our charges are all transfers from place of death to the cemetery and/or the crematorium, legal documentation, professional and support staff, the use of facilities for visitation, services and receptions, preparation of the deceased for viewing, and use of the facilities to do so.

The professional service charges will vary depending on what arrangements the family chooses.

At Cobb's Funeral Home we take pride in offering several packages for families to choose from, thus assuring that you are only charged for the services you have asked us to provide.

Casket and Merchandise is specific to the casket a family selects. Other types of merchandise that you may find in this section are urns, memorial candles and cards, personalized inserts, streaming for service, and keepsake memorial slideshow's; just to name a few.

Cash Disbursements are as they imply. Some families will ask to have a third party expense placed on their accounts for a matter of convenience. We would like to assure the public these expenses are not marked up in any way. Some typical cash disbursements include: newspaper notices, honorariums for clergy and music, catering, cemetery charges and so forth. Pre-planning is also an important part of our offered services, just as you plan for so many other parts of your life, you should also plan and prepare for when your journey ends. An important thing to note is that not everything has to be decided and finished all at once and changes can be made over time. Even people new to town are able to transfer their pre-arrangements to us to insure a smooth process for when they pass away.
